What you get: An e-book cover with customized title, author, and colors. Any alterations to the artwork may incur an additional charge. The design will not be sold to anyone else; you will own the rights to the design in perpetuity and can do with it what you wish, except resell the artwork. Custom E-Book Covers – $300 and up
What you get: A custom e-book cover designed to your specifications for up to three platforms. Additional platform formats are $35 each. You will own the rights to the design in perpetuity and can do with it what you wish, except resell the artwork.
Custom Print Book Covers - $500 and up
What you get: A custom book cover for printing (including back and spine) designed to your specifications, plus two additional formats, such as e-book, audiobook, large print, etc. Additional formats are $35 each. Note: Specs (i.e., dimensions or “trim size”) may vary among publishers and each are considered a different format. Please note, this package does not include printing; you will receive digital files that can be sent/uploaded to publishers.
Custom Posters/Podcast/Album Art/etc. - $250 and up
THE PROCESS
The process is similar for all projects, but for book covers, for example, you’ll tell me the title of your book, the genre, and what it’s about. We’ll talk about its characters, settings, themes, and anything else you want me to know. You can also show me examples of existing covers that you like in the same genre. I’ll come up with at least three concepts/sketches and show them to you. You’ll pick one (or your favorite elements from the sketches) and I’ll produce a draft of the line art and a color scheme. You’ll give me feedback on it and we’ll keep tweaking it until you're satisfied. Up to five rounds of changes are included; additional rounds may incur additional fees.
FAQs
Do you read the book?
In most cases, no. I trust you to convey the story and tone to me. But if you insist I read it, there will probably be an additional charge. (Podcasts, albums, and films, however, I will very likely check out for inspiration.)
What if I don’t like any of your ideas or designs?
You won’t pay a cent, but I have the right to sell the artwork I produced as premade.
How long does it take?
That depends on how many rounds of edits you request, but generally about two weeks.
Can I have a premade cover turned into a cover for print or other formats?
Absolutely! Any premade cover can be adapted into any format. Additional charges may apply.
When do I pay? What forms of payment do you accept?
You pay after the design process is complete and before I deliver the final files. We can use Venmo or Zelle.
